Etzenborn is a village in the Lower Saxony Gemeinde Gleichen, Germany.

The agricultural village was 216 inhabitants in the last day of 2010. The village, called Eghenburnen in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, before it was abandoned, was rebuilt in 1534. The village lies in a valley surrounded by wooded hills Stadtberg, Hunoldsberg, Gehlenberg, Zilberberg, Klafterberg, and Das rote Ufer. Fields and hills, crossed by farm roads and trails.

The village is located on Kreisstrasse 44. The nearest big town is göttingen, the regional center of the capital, about 25 km to the North-West by road, Duderstadt just 12 km North-East of Heiligenstadt and the same distance to the South.

In one Church in the community was built in the late 19th century. In a single-aisled building in neo-Gothic style. It serves as the Reformed Calvinist Congregation in the community.

The public organizations include Schutzenverein E. V. 1924, mixed choir, sports club, and volunteer firefighters.
