Rainbow Falls is a waterfall located in Hilo, Hawaii. It is 80 ft tall and almost 100 ft in diameter. The falls are part of the Hawaii State Parks. There is no fee to see the falls.

Waiānuenue, Rainbow falls, the Wailuku river rushes into a large pool below. Gorge covered with lush, thick native rainforest and turquoise pool is bordered by a beautiful, although non-native, wild ginger. Monstera is also in abundance. The waterfall can be reached through the state Park the river Wailuku, Waiānuenue Avenue, coordinates 19°439"N°155 634"W, and are best seen from the Parks observation deck.

Known in the Hawaiian language as Waiānuenue literally "rainbow water", the falls flows over a natural lava cave, the mythological home with Hina, an ancient Hawaiian goddess.

Rainbow falls gets its name from the fact that in Sunny weather at about 10 am, a rainbow can be seen in the mist, like a waterfall.
