Platyptilia cretalis is a moth of the family Pterophoridae. It is found in the Honshu, Kyushu and Tsushima islands of Japan.

Length of fore wings is 9-12 mm. Adults are on wing from may to September.

The larvae feed on blooming legumes of desmodium racemosum. They feed on shoots, young leaves of the terminal and the terminal stem of the host plant. The pupa is attached to the lower surface leaf veins and sends to the base sheet.
