The BK 27 is a 27 mm caliber revolver cannon manufactured by Mauser of Germany. It was developed in the late 1960s for the MRCA program that ultimately became the Panavia Tornado.

BK 27 is a gas cannon firing a new series of 27×145 mm cartridge with a typical projectile weight 260 g 9.2 oz and the total weight of the complete round 516 g 1.14 LB. Most models use the system because of food, for ammunition, however, the Eurofighter Typhoon uses a specially developed variant of BK 27 that, instead of using a system linkless feed, which is designed to improve reliability.
