ⓘ North West London Hospitals NHS Trust

North West London Hospitals NHS Trust was an NHS trust that ran Northwick Park Hospital and St Marks Hospital in Harrow and Central Middlesex Hospital, Park Royal, London, England. In October 2014, the trust merged with Ealing Hospital NHS Trust to become London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.

In may 2013 Moorfields hospital opened a satellite Eye centre at northwick Park means that patients can access their professional services without having to go to the clinic.

In October 2013 the trust was forced to apologise when it was revealed that 822 patients on the waiting list for elective procedures was not resolved within the 18-week target.

In November 2013 it was revealed that the waiting time at 2.700 elective patients were incorrectly recorded in the trust. The report States:" theres a culture where some staff felt under pressure to stop the clock patients prematurely.”

The trust was at the centre of proposals for the reorganization for several years, with the assumption that hospitals in North West London "will almost certainly" have to close. In the district, he said, "there are more hospitals per capita, more hospital beds per capita and travel time to local hospital is much shorter than anywhere else in the country."
