The District Council of Ridley was a local government area in South Australia from 1976 to 1991.

It was established on 30 January 1976 with the amalgamation of the district Council of Marne and the regional Council sedan. It included the whole cadastral hundreds bago Fisher, Eng, Ridley, Nildottie and Forster, and of the hundreds of Jellicoe and Bowhill. It was divided into four departments: Marne two advisers, one adviser Forster, sedan, three advisors and the Swan of two advisors.

In 1986, his area of 2300 square kilometres, described as "limited Keynetone, Swan, do and Sanderston Bowhill". Major service centers Cambrai, sedan and swans do with small towns on the Black hill, Bowhill, the Keynetone, Nildottie and Purnong. It had a population of 1.740 in 1985, which was slightly decreased from the 1960s years. The main primary industries are largely agricultural region were wheat and barley and grazing sheep, with irrigated plantations along the river Murray and tourism along the river increased the value.

It ceased to exist from 1 October 1991, when it merged with the district Council of Truro, in the form of the district Council of Ridley-Truro.
